Program


Little Dragons: Kid’s classes focus on developing techniques related to both striking and grappling. An emphasis is placed on the three main components of martial arts: Pride, Honor, and Respect. It is not uncommon for children enrolled in our classes to demonstrate a better over all attitude, as well as improved performance in school work i.e. grades, and behavior.


Women’s MMA Fitness: Women’s classes are designed to both create a confident female fighter, as well as to tone and sculpt the physique. An emphasis is placed on developing a skill set which is fully functional, which if necessary, can be used against a real world attacker.


Takedown Clinics: FAF will regularly deliver instruction related to students taking down an opponent as well as preventing an opponent from taking a student to the ground.


Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi Class: Gi classes deliver instruction related to the fast growing sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This highly effective ground fighting art incorporates submissions; including joint locks, chokes, and dominant positions. In the class, students will have the opportunity to advance by testing for belts. Instruction in this class will prepare the student for competition in the fast growing sport of submission grappling. Our gi program is under the direct supervision of world class grappler, Judo Olympian, and BJJ Black Belt Rhadi Ferguson. A students are encouraged to attend gi Jiu-Jitsu classes. Becoming a proficent grappler while wearing a gi will significantly improve no gi grappling for MMA skills.


Beginner MMA Striking: An introduction to the movements, theory, and techniques of striking. Class time is split between instruction, pad and bag work, and low contact sparring. All facets of mma are covered from stand up to ground work with an emphasis on strikes.


Advanced MMA Striking: This class picks up where beginner striking leaves off. Emphasis is placed on advanced foot work, as well as striking combinations. Class time is split between instruction, pad and bag work as well as medium to high level contact. All facets of mma are covered from stand up to ground work with an emphasis on strikes.


Beginner MMA Grappling: Submission grappling is designed to prepare students for competition in no-gi grappling tournaments, as well as the ground game component of mixed martial arts. Class time is split between instruction, technique, repetition, and live competition. Students learn, rep, and master techniques such as: arm bars, chokes, sweeps, and leg locks. All facets of mma are covered from stand up to ground work with an emphasis on submissions, and dominant positions for striking.


Advanced MMA Grappling: This class picks up where beginner grappling leaves off. An emphasis is placed on solid Jiu-Jitsu postioning to create effective ground and pound scenarios. Class time is split into technique, and real time ground sparring.
