Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi Class

Gi classes deliver instruction related to the fast growing sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This highly effective ground fighting art incorporates submissions; including joint locks, chokes, and dominant positions. In the class, students will have the opportunity to advance by testing for belts. Instruction in this class will prepare the student for competition in the fast growing sport of submission grappling. Our gi program is under the direct supervision of world class grappler, Judo Olympian, and BJJ Black Belt Rhadi Ferguson. A students are encouraged to attend gi Jiu-Jitsu classes. Becoming a proficent grappler while wearing a gi will significantly improve no gi grappling for MMA skills.


MMA Striking

You will be introduced to the movements, theories, techniques of striking, and foot work, while working on basic to advanced striking combinations.  Class time is split between instruction, pad and bag work, and low, medium to high level contact sparring.  All facets of MMA are covered from stand up to ground work with an emphasis on strikes.


MMA Grappling

Submission grappling is designed to prepare you for competition in no-gi grappling tournaments, as well as the ground game component of mixed martial arts.  Class time is split between instruction, technique, repetition, and live competition.  You will learn, rep, and master techniques such as: arm bars, chokes, sweeps, and leg locks, with emphasis placed on solid Jiu-Jitsu postioning to create effective ground and pound scenarios.  All facets of MMA are covered from stand up to ground with an emphasis on submissions, and dominant positions for striking.
